A West Michigan native, Hanna Visser joined the Foundation for Vision Research (FVR) as Executive Director in August 2026. She provides strategic, administrative, and operational leadership for the Foundation, overseeing daily operations so that research coordinators and physicians can focus on delivering the highest quality patient care while advancing retinal science.
Hanna holds a Master of Social Work in Nonprofit Management & Leadership from the University of Michigan. With over a decade of nonprofit experience, she brings deep expertise to her role leading a mission-driven organization dedicated to research that preserves and restores vision. At FVR, she is focused on expanding the organization's reach and impact by securing research and donor funding, strengthening physician and patient education, and building community awareness of the Foundation's achievements.
