Sarah Casassa

Sarah joined the Foundation for Vision Research team as a Research Coordinator in August 2024. Sarah’s interest in research and medicine can be traced back to her time as a student at Western Michigan University, where she studied behavioral neuroscience and obtained minors in biological sciences and chemistry. Here she joined research labs focusing on the behavioral pharmacology of psychotropic medicines in rodent models. After graduation, she worked at a hospital providing direct patient care to patients in critical care units.

Sarah is excited to see her passions for healthcare and research intersect in her role as a research coordinator. She is thrilled to begin her journey with FVR and contribute to the positive impact our research has on patients' lives
